Bio
In 2009-10 (Junior): Pickens appeared in all 32 games for the Golden Eagles, averaging 2.4 points in 13.1 minutes per game. He shot 38 percent from the field (31-81) recording 77 points on the season. He also contributed 16 steals and 13 blocks on defense, as well as 62 total rebounds. He spent a total of 418 mintues on the floor for Tech.
Mineral Area Community College: Byron averaged

Community College…ranked 40th in the nation in blocked
shots…earned all-conference honors.
High School: Byron was a three-sport athlete at
Senn High School in Chicago, Ill…earned all-conference,
conference MVP and all-state honors during his four-year career
under coaches Brandon Moody and Tony Coaston…averaged 18
points, 15 rebounds and five blocks per game throughout his
career…also earned two letters in volleyball as a middle
hitter and three letters in cross country…was also on
academic honor roll.
